Our commitment
Aamina’s Tuition Academy is committed to providing safe, respectful and personalised online tuition. Every learner will be treated with patience, fairness and encouragement.
These policies explain what families can expect from the academy and what is expected from parents and students.
Tuition fees and payments
- Tuition fees must be paid monthly in advance.
- A student’s timetable will be confirmed once payment has been received.
- The agreed package, subjects and lesson times will be confirmed directly with the parent or guardian.
- Parents should contact the academy before their next monthly payment is due if they wish to stop tuition.
- If there are any payment difficulties or concerns, please contact Aamina directly on 07437 887 258.
Cancellations and missed lessons
- Parents must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full lesson rate.
- If sufficient notice is provided, an alternative lesson will be offered where reasonably possible and subject to availability.
- If a student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at its scheduled time.
- If Aamina’s Tuition Academy needs to cancel a lesson, an alternative lesson or appropriate credit will be provided.
Online lessons
Parents and students are responsible for:
- Having a suitable device and a reliable internet connection.
- Joining lessons promptly.
- Providing a quiet and appropriate learning environment.
- Ensuring that younger children have a parent or guardian nearby and available.
- Keeping lesson links private and not sharing them with anyone else.
- Communicating respectfully throughout every lesson.
Lessons must not be photographed, recorded or shared without prior written agreement.
Student conduct
Students are expected to behave respectfully, participate appropriately and complete any agreed work.
The academy may pause or end a lesson if behaviour is persistently inappropriate, disruptive or unsafe. Serious or repeated concerns will be discussed with the student’s parent or guardian.
Teaching and academic progress
Lessons are planned around each learner’s current understanding, individual needs and educational goals.
Aamina’s Tuition Academy will provide careful teaching, constructive feedback and targeted practice. Aamina will always do her utmost to support every child and help them reach their full potential.
However, examination grades, school results and admission outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Progress also depends on attendance, effort, independent practice and other individual circumstances.
Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of every child are extremely important.
- Communication concerning students under the age of 18 should normally take place through their parent or guardian.
- Parents must provide accurate information about any learning, medical or safeguarding needs that may affect tuition.
- Professional boundaries will be maintained during all lessons and communications.
- A parent or guardian should remain contactable while an online lesson is taking place.
- If a safeguarding concern arises, relevant information may be shared with an appropriate safeguarding authority or emergency service when necessary to protect a child.
